About

It started on a golf course. Actually, it started at the bag drop of a golf course. Alex and Andrew met in high school while working at the Oakland University Golf & Learning Center in Rochester Hills, Michigan. Summer after summer, the two shined golf clubs and washed carts. Years later, their paths would cross again while pursuing their MBAs at the University of Michigan's Ross School of Business. After countless requests from classmates and colleagues alike for business advice, an idea was born. What if they could find an established business to lead, where their knowledge, experience, and advice could be implemented? To honor the beginning of their friendship formed at Oakland University's golf courses, Grizzly Equity Partners was founded.

In what started as a search fund, successfully acquiring CrossFire Group and MedNational Staffing, where the two worked as owner-operators, the company has since evolved into a private equity firm. Today the emphasis is more about finding the right person to drive and grow a business than simply finding the right business.
